Mountain Valley Charitable Foundation (MVCF) named Mike Cronin its first ever EastMont Volunteer of the Year, an award named in honor of his wife, Karen, who passed away in February.
The “Karen Cronin Volunteer of the Year Award” was presented at a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on Saturday at The Meadowbrook Center.
In 2011, Mike volunteered in the following ways:
- He dealt blackjack at MVCF’s ShawsVegas Casino Night fundraiser;
- He hosted the Butterflies & Bruschetta dinner for sponsors of the EastMont Tomato Festival;
- He volunteered at Ladies Night Out;
- He grew butterfly bushes that were donated to MVCF for various events;
- And he worked countless hours on landscaping projects at The Meadowbrook Center — namely on a library garden dedicated to Karen Cronin’s memory.
