The work of more than 40 Montgomery County artists, craftspeople and businesses is now on display at the Holiday Market at Meadowbrook, located in the Waldron Family YMCA in Shawsville.
Support local artists and the Y by shopping at the Holiday Market for your holiday gifts.
Featured gifts include: Oakland Cottage silk scarves; local authors including Tom Angleberger’s “Origami Yoda” series; hand-painted Virginia Tech ornaments; quilts; fine jewelry; Wood Creations; New River Gourmet gift baskets; and much more.
The Holiday Market is open during regular Waldron Family Y hours: Monday-Thursday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.
Many of the featured artists will be at the Market for the Holiday Open House at Meadowbrook on Dec. 3 from 10 am to 2 pm.
Featured events include a pancake breakfast with Santa at 10 a.m.; Tom Angleberger signing copies of his books at 11 a.m.; and an afternoon performance of the Eastern Montgomery Elementary School choir.

The Y is also now accepting orders for locally grown, fresh-cut Frasier Fir Christmas trees. Trees will be available for pickup at the Open House.
