To start the new year, the Waldron Family Y is pleased to offer three new and exciting opportunities to enhance your membership.
Dive into a Roanoke Reciprocal Y Upgrade
You can now upgrade your Y membership to include access to the Roanoke Valley-wide YMCAs. For a monthly rate of just $46/individual and $73/household, you will be able to enjoy the pools, basketball courts and other amenities at Roanoke’s Kirk Family Y and the Salem Family Y.
Better yet, your January upgrade is on us … you won’t get charged the new rate til February!
Get Fit with your own Personal Trainer
Jump start your wellness plan with a Waldron Y personal trainer. A personal trainer focuses on increasing and/or maintaining their clients’ fitness level, assisting with weight loss, and overseeing their strength-training and cardiovascular activities.
Personal training services begin with a complimentary consultation with your trainer. Subsequent sessions for Y members are available as follows:
1 session: $25 ~ 5 sessions: $110 ~ 10 sessions: $200
Grab a partner and save a few bucks with our partner sessions for friends or spouses:
1 session: $35 ~ 5 sessions: $165 ~ 10 sessions: $300
Start the New Year with our N.E.W. Family
Throughout 2011, the Y will offer an 8-week program called “The N.E.W. Family (Nutrition, Exercise and Wellness)” that provides:
- A proven weight-loss program for adults and their children;
- Nutritional and cooking classes at The Meadowbrook Center that will teach families to prepare easy-to-cook, low-cost, and healthy meals;
- A community garden experience for families to learn gardening and farm-to-table techniques.
The first session begins the week of Jan. 24.
To participate in the N.E.W. Family, the Y member individual rate is just $20; household rate is $40 (compared to the non-member individual rate of $70 and household rate of $106). To enjoy the 8 N.E.W. Family weekly dinners on Thursday nights is just an additional $24/person.
For more information, stop by the Waldron Y front desk or contact Michael Hemphill or Staci Boone at 268.1623.
