Help EastMont by shopping at Kroger

Shop with a Kroger Cares gift card and help eastern Montgomery County every time you buy groceries.

Last year, Mountain Valley Charitable Foundation earned more than $1,000 from folks who participated in the Kroger Cares program.

It costs you nothing!

Just load your card with money and then use it like a debit card when you shop or buy Kroger gas. You still earn all Kroger discounts and benefits, and Mountain Valley earns 5 percent of the amount you load onto the card.

Start the New Year with our N.E.W. Family

Throughout 2011, the Y will offer an 8-week program called “The N.E.W. Family (Nutrition, Exercise and Wellness)” that provides:

  • A proven weight-loss program for adults and their children;
  • Nutritional and cooking classes at The Meadowbrook Center that will teach families to prepare easy-to-cook, low-cost, and healthy meals;
  • A community garden experience for families to learn gardening and farm-to-table techniques.

The first session begins the week of Jan. 24.

To participate in the N.E.W. Family, the Y member individual rate is just $20; household rate is $40 (compared to the non-member individual rate of $70 and household rate of $106). To enjoy the 8 N.E.W. Family weekly dinners on Thursday nights is just an additional $24/person.
